＜Agenda＞” Leadership skill sets”

Who is your ideal leader? My one is a branch manager of the company which I work for because he is energetic to handle any challenging and complicated jobs for the employees.

He was successful in centralizing jobs from several branches to the Tokyo central office this January in order to decrease overtime work. I was very impressed to see that, and he has become one of my ideal leaders. He is not only a charismatic person but also can deal with tasks proactively.

Actually, I have never thought about “ideal leader” until last December because I was not interested at all in becoming a leader or a manager. However, Globis University, the largest business graduate school in Japan, made me think about “ideal leader”. I have been taking classes regarding “leadership” at the university, and they suggest that the leader should have “Kokorozashi” and three abilities which are memorized sequence of management, thinking, and involving others.

However, thinking about your ideal leader is not enough. We need to think about how we can become one since you would be a manager or a leader in the near future. So, I would like you to discuss your ideal leader and how to be the one. Also, I would like you to share what you talked about during the discussion at the end of it.
