I like to check twitter(x) and there is a topic that regularly blows up.

The topic is whether or not a man pays everything when he goes out for dinner with a woman.

A few months ago, a woman posted following messages

– Men should pay because women buy cosmetics and take care of themselves for the date.

And recently, another man argued

– A friend of his invited several female friends over for dinner After the meal, he objected to paying for the woman’s meals.

While this is basically a discussion of personal preferences for someone’s type, I feel that the topic includes cultural background.
