What Luxury means to you?

There are multiple choices for purchasing products. For example, you can buy a T-shirt for less than 1,000 yen at fast fashion stores. On the other hand, you can also get one at a luxury brand for more than 50,000 yen. Of course, the T-shirts of fast fashion and luxury brands are different in terms of status, quality, design, and customer service. Even though some people understand the difference between a luxury brand and fast fashion, prefer to get fast fashion and others do not.

 In my case, I sometimes treat myself to “expensive white bread” that costs twice as much as the local supermarket. I am totally satisfied with the quality of unexpensive supermarket’s one. However, the fact I purchased white bread at an expensive shop makes me excited.

 The word “Luxury” is described as “something expensive that is pleasant to have but is not necessary” in the Cambridge dictionary. I would like to know what luxury means to you, and is it necessary for your life.
