≪FIRST HALF≫

＜Agenda＞“The importance of face-to face-communication” 

We, management staff, are really glad to see you again. We are still struggling with the Covid -19 pandemic over a year. Sadly, there is still some restriction to have face-to-face communication.

   I have realized that communication, especially face-to-face one, is very important during the Covid-19. Before the unprecedented matter happened, I had not have minded not talking to somebody at all for a few days since I enjoyed spending time by myself. However, the long period of the pandemic made me depressed since I had to stay alone in my apartment for over two months. I was not able to talk with my co-workers, friends, and family face-to-face and it made me feel lonely. So, I tried talking with them online or by my smartphone instead. Unfortunately, they were not replaced with the face-to-face communication.

   Why did online communication not solve the issue? Why do people generally prefer face-to-face communication? The majority of people say that face-to-face communication is more important than other communication styles. Today, I would like you to discuss communication.

【Questions】

1. Which do you prefer face-to-face or online communication?

2. Please enumerate positive and negative aspects of face-to-face communication.

3. Please enumerate positive and negative aspects of online communication.

4. Why do people generally prefer face-to-face communication rather than online?

 Please take all positive and negative points you have enumerated into your consideration.

 I will pick some tables and would be happy if you could share your group’s opinion.

＜Agenda＞“Your smart home in the future”

While the internet connection has been globally penetrated, connected technologies also have been innovated much faster than our imagination.

 The World of “IT” has already replaced by ICT (Information and Communication Technology), will be taken over soon by IoT (Internet of Things). It may be followed by IoH (Internet of Human) or IoA (Internet of Agriculture). It means the internet is not only the connectivity for PC or Smartphone but also for everything, like  houses and mobilities.

Today, I would like you to discuss what kind of smartness is required for your residential life (not just inside your house, also outside), and how it would be in the future.

For your reference, Smart home defined as
1. Smartness of visibility (electricity consumption, etc.)
2. Automated Remote Control through the Internet
3. Smart control by AI, or advisory service.
4. Connectivity between Products and Products, to provide seamless service

【Questions】
1. Do you use any smart devices (ex.  Amazon prime Alexa, Googl Home etc ) in your home?

 (Not including PC, smartphone, or tablet)
2. a) If yes, what kind of devices do you have and how do you utilize them?
   b) If no, do you want to have smart devices in the future?
3. What are the Pros/Cons points of Smart home?
4. Please discuss your ideal smart home life in the future?
  (What kind of devices, services, etc.)
