アイスブレーク

  前半は、アイスブレークとして下記から好きなお題を選んでいただき、お話しいただければと思います。

Products Using IoT

Nowadays IoT has been very important technology, especially for the manufacturing industry. Many companies are shifting their focus from manufacturing products to providing solutions using this technology.

For example, my company has been a water pipe supplier for a long time, but recently started a service for digitalizing and improving productivity of the water pipe maintenance using IoT technologies because number of skilled engineers involved in water pipe maintenance is declining due to aging society and there is growing need for passing down knowhow to younger engineers efficiently.

Having said that, do IoT products bring us only benefits?

Even though IoT products have many kinds of useful functions, some of these benefits are too difficult for some to fully understand them.

For instance, IoT products such as smart homes have the advantage of automatically controlling all home appliances.

However, I would say that there is also some disadvantage in preparing home appliances that are compatible with these products.

I am wondering what aspects or value people find when they purchase IOT products.

I hope everyone will enjoy discussing this interesting trend.
