What Should an EXPO Be Like?
EXPO, also known as the Universal Exhibition, is now held in Osaka.
Actually, this will be the third time for Osaka to host an EXPO, while Okinawa, Tsukuba, and Nagoya have hosted it before and another one is planned in Yokohama in 2027.
Among these, only Osaka and Nagoya are classified as a “World Expo”. The others are Specialized or Horticultural Expo.
The difference between the two types is that in a World Expo, each country or organization is responsible for building and funding its own pavilion.
In case of Specialized Expo, the host country covers the cost of constructing all the pavilions.
So far, World Expos have mostly been hosted by G21 or other developed countries, focusing on technological advancement and development.
But recent themes are focusing on nature and spiritual topics.
By the way, what do you think about EXPO?
<Questions>
1. Have you ever visited any EXPO before? If yes, please share your experience.
2. What would you expect to enjoying at an EXPO?
3. If you were the event organizer, what would be your ideal theme for an EXPO?
