Bucket List – things you want to achieve in your life

Have you ever heard of a “bucket list”? A bucket list is a collection of dreams, goals, and experiences you want to achieve during your lifetime. The idea became popular through movies and books, and many people use a bucket list as motivation to live more fully and intentionally. A bucket list might include traveling to distant countries, learning a new language, running a marathon, or even trying something completely out of your comfort zone, like skydiving.

Creating a bucket list helps you think about what is truly important. It can also give you a sense of purpose and excitement for the future. Let’s take a moment to reflect on your own dreams, no matter how big or small. You don’t need to have a complete list yet — just thinking about one or two ideas can be a great start.

During the discussion, please feel free to share your personal thoughts, your dream experiences, and even some fun or unusual goals you might have. This is a chance to learn more about each other’s passions and to get inspired.

<Questions>

1. What are two things on your personal bucket list? You can also share what you have already completed from your bucket list.

2. Some people become so focused on completing items on their bucket list, losing sight of the real purpose behind it. Do you believe creating a bucket list truly makes your life more meaningful, or can it lead to unnecessary pressure?

3. Should a bucket list reflect only personal desires, or also include contributions to others or society?

The Role of Luck in Success

What does it mean to succeed in life?

Success means different things to different people. For some, success is having a lot of money or a good job. For others, it means having good friends and family, being healthy, or feeling happy. Some people want to travel the world or help other people. There is no single answer—everyone has their own idea of success.

Many people think hard work and effort are the most important parts of success. They believe that if you study hard, practice, and never give up, you will reach your goals. There are many stories of people who worked very hard and finally became successful.

However, is hard work always enough? Some people say that luck is also important. For example, meeting the right person, finding a great job at the right time, or being born in a good environment can make success easier. Sometimes, people with the same skills and effort do not have the same results because of luck or timing.

Let’s think about how hard work, luck, and other things work together to help people succeed.

<Questions>

Q1. Please start by defining what “success” means to you. What contributed most to your own success so far? (For example: hard work, education, personality, connections, money, luck, etc.) (ca. 10 min)

Q2. Think about people you know personally or famous people. What factors have helped them succeed? Can you find any common points or patterns for success? (ca. 10 min)

Q3. If luck is an important part of success, what do you think schools, companies, or society can do to give everyone more equal opportunities? How can we create a fairer system for more people having a chance to succeed? (ca. 15 min, to be shared after discussion)

Q4. Can people create their own luck? If so, how? (If there is spare time.)
