Biometric Identification in the future

These days, facial recognition for transportation service has been appearing on multiple news sources. The technology has been being used in not only transportation companies, but also other companies such as Amazon, Universal Studio Japan, etc.

Some people seem to feel scared toward using it, while others feel that it is convenient including me. Should we use it without thinking of any risks of using it? I would like you to consider the system/technology through this topic.

Q.1 Have you ever used biometric identification?

If yes, in what occasion do you use it? Why do you want to use it?

If not, please explain the reason for not using it.

Q.2 Please enumerate positive and negative points for using biometric identification (including facial recognition)

Q.3 Should we increase using biometric identification? If yes, in which industry/situation can the technology be utilized? If not, why not? I would like you to share your group’s opinion after the discussion.
