Digital Dementia
What if your data were gone in your smartphone when you want to make a phone call to your mother or father? Would you be able to recollect their phone numbers? I guess that a lot of people would struggle with saying the numbers. However, you surely used to be able to do that when you were teenager. You could recollect friends’ phone numbers and recollect them without any digital devices. How did things end up this way?
It is safe to say that the advent of smartphone has been leading us declining our memorizing and recollecting ability. We can call the symptom “Digital Dementia”. The term is a symptom similar to dementia such as loss of memory, concentration, attention, and language disorder due to excessive input of information and dependence on digital devices such as smartphones and PCs. I can easily imagine that colleagues and friends of yours may often say “Are-Are” ”Sore-Sore” these days. They should be also suffered from “Digital Dementia”.
Is the symptom serious problem to you by the way? Some argue that brushing up the ability to memorize and recollect information is indispensable, while others believe that it is OK to rely on digital devices to keep memorizing information necessary. We have to admit the latter, but I think that depends on situation.
In the first half workshop, I would like you to realize we are suffered from “Digital Dementia” through some activities. On top of that, I would be grateful if you could discuss the necessity of the ability about memory and recollection.
Besides, we would be much appreciated if you could recollect what you did in 2021, leading you to taking new actions in the upcoming year.

New Business Keyword
Before the COVID-19, I had been concerned with New Business Development with the support by the consulting firm.
While in the business with the consulting firm, they provided discussion papers every week to check the progress of the project or the rise of new issues.
I myself didn’t care, but my colleague always fought against consultants when he did not know the new “keyword” written in the documents, mostly a kind of new business word.
On the other hand, in our company, we are focusing on new “Marketing” activities, such as Digital Marketing, or Direct to Consumer, these words are newly introduced.
We can recognize these new words, even if we attend seminars managed by Marketing Industries, and speakers spoke as we should have been known these words as the basic understanding.
I agree that we should understand new words while we would challenge to new activities, however, I sometimes doubt, is it necessary to create new words?
Sometimes I think some people create new words to show their own value in the business field?
