[今週のマテリアル]

<FIRST HALF>

Recently, I left my parents house and started to live on my own. My new apartment is comfortable and conveniently located, like just 3 minutes from the station. I am pleased with my new place, however, I don’t feel I’m at “home” while staying there. It seems that the definition of the word “home” means different things to different people. I hope that you will confirm your own “home” through this discussion.

Title : What does “home” mean to you?

Q1.  What kind of image do you have about the word “home”?

Q2. Have you ever found somewhere outside your residence that feels ”like a home”? Share your experiences.

Q3. According to the Oxford dictionary , “home” is “The place where one lives permanently, especially as a member of a family or a household “

Do you think people cannot have “home” without family?

Q4. For some people who lost their “home” due to natural disaster, civil war, etc, how do you think they can find their new “home”?

Q5. Share your ideas about ideal “home”.

It may be something specific about the physical details of where you would like to live, or it may be more about the mental expectation of how you would like to feel when you are there.

Q6. Finally, what does “home” mean to you?
