How too many rules at work keep you from getting things done?
I want to try something new this week. I’m assigning a TED Talk video. This video will be a good opportunity to practice listening to English with a French accent. For those that find it too difficult to understand, there is a full English and Japanese transcript on the same website.
Also, I’m attaching a mind map with some of the video highlights and some questions to help guide discussion next Saturday.
<Video>
<Questions>
1. How can reward those who cooperate?
2. Is it reasonable or even possible to get rid of all quantitative KPIs (Key Performance Indicators)?
3. How complex is your department/organization?
4. What are your suggestions for simplifying your department?
